At Cafoosee, we care about the privacy of our community just as much as we care about what goes into our cats' bowls. We believe in clear ingredients and honest software - no hidden trackers, no data sales, and no fine-print surprises.
1. Anonymous Use Comes First
You do not need an account to search for cat foods, test ingredient rules, or explore product details.
When you run a search, your criteria live solely in your browser's URL bar. We do not attach search queries to any personal identity or build advertising profiles based on what you look for.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect information when you choose to share it with us or when necessary to provide account features:
- Early Beta Waitlist: If you sign up to try Cafoosee early, we collect your email address solely to send beta invites and product updates.
- Account Credentials: When you create an account, authentication is processed securely via Google Firebase Authentication. We never receive, view, or store your plaintext password.
- Your Cat Profiles & Saved Rules: If you save custom ingredient searches or create profiles for your cats (such as photos, gotcha dates, or personal dietary notes), that data is saved to your personal dashboard so you can access it whenever you log in.
- Technical Diagnostics: Standard, non-identifying operational logs (such as browser type, device information, and error diagnostics) to ensure our servers remain fast, stable, and secure.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect strictly to deliver Cafoosee's services:
- Displaying search results that match your chosen ingredient rules and filters.
- Saving your custom rules and cat profiles to your private dashboard.
- Sending you early beta invites or service updates you requested.
- Monitoring system performance, fixing bugs, and guarding against automated abuse.
4. No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Cafoosee is an independent search tool. We do not sell your email, search habits, or cat profiles to pet food manufacturers, data brokers, or third-party advertisers.
5. Service Providers & Outbound Links
To run the platform securely, we work with trusted cloud infrastructure providers:
- Google Cloud Platform & Firebase: Provides secure data hosting, database infrastructure, and encrypted user authentication.
- Outbound Brand Links:Product cards include direct links to manufacturer websites so you can inspect products directly. Once you leave Cafoosee by following an outbound link, the destination site's own terms and privacy practices apply.
6. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You are always in control of your data. You can edit or delete your saved ingredient rules, cat profiles, or account directly from your dashboard at any time.
If you signed up for our early beta waitlist and wish to remove your email address, simply reach out to us and we will permanently delete it.
